Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
I have been borrowing these books from a friend, written by Karen Kingsbury. The series is call Redemption – a 5 book series. The way she writes has always been thought provoking and encouraging to me and my relationship with Christ, my husband, and others in my life. The verse that is mentioned above has been one that God has been continuously speaking to my heart the last couple of months. I am so thankful for Him and who He is.
We are to Rejoice in every circumstance and know that God is in control. His plans are amazing….more than what we can even fathom. I Rejoice that He is in control of my life. That He knows everything and is constantly and gently guiding me in His direction.
So I ask you to find things to be thankful for….we are all blessed in different areas and different times in our lives.
Rejoice in the Lord! That is what we are asked to do by God’s grace. I am rejoicing today in the fact that the sun is shining, my family has been blessed with good heatlh, and that many good things are going on around the world in spite of the not so many good things!
In my recent visit to the Seattle area to see Kari and Jeff, it was so good to see the work that has already begun for Epic Life Church. It was good to take part in one of their Sunday night services, and then to a part of the Home Church on Monday night. It was fun to meet the people that have been coming to their services. God is certainly working there!
As mentioned in the recent newsletter – there are many places and opportunities for ministry! I was taken off guard to see how many homeless people are in the area, the strip clubs, casinos and such! Many prayers are needed for the people living there and for the Epic Team members who are spreading the good news and ministring to their community!
I truly enjoyed visiting Shoreline and getting to see where everyone is getting settled in and that they have all been blessed with jobs for now! PTL!
Of course, spending time with Kari and Jeff was so good. We had a lot of fun going to all the places they wanted to show me, eating at so many fun restaurants, drinking coffee, talking, laughing, crying, praying etc…..
Our prayers are with all of you! – REJOICING with all of you – Judi
Hey Kari! Glad to hear all is well! I’ve read one of Karen Kingsbury’s books. I think it was the first one in the Redemption series, don’t remember for sure though, anywho, it was good! Another one to try if you are interested is Lori Wicks. I haven’t read hers, but my sister has and really enjoyed them and she gave me probably 10 to read! haha! Can’t wait to see you and Jeff again in May!
I just got finished reading Redemption this past week!! My mom had one of her books laying around, and I liked it so much I borrowed MANY from the library!
They are so encouraging! And yes, in spite of it all, Jesus gives us many reasons to rejoice!
