Anniversary… October 5, 2010
Hello Blog Readers…
What is new I am sure you are wondering?? Well a couple of big and exciting things have happened for Jeff and I and Epic Life Church – ANNIVERSARIES!!!
Jeff & I have been married for 3 YEARS now!! Can you believe how quick the time has gone by? I can’t! It seems like just yesterday I met Jeff and he was coming to visit my family for Thanksgiving. We were so blessed by everyone’s thoughtfulness and “Happy Anniversary”. We got all pretty and handsome and went to a restaurant called Benihana. This is a place with hibachi grills and sits up to 8 people per table. We were at a table where it ended up being Jeff and I and one other couple (who later found out that they were Christians too!) The Chef was great and they always do neat tricks as they are cooking and telling jokes.
Our meal consisted of: fruit smoothies, which were delicious. Crunchy shrimp sushi was our appetizer. With our meal came a salad, soup, hot tea, veggies, and baby shrimp. Of course I had to get colossal shrimp and fried rice and Jeff got steak and fried rice. On top of all of that the Chef forgot that the other couple ordered chicken and accidentally gave it to us (fortunately he cooked more chicken for the other couple : ). ) We were given two pineapple boats for our anniversary and Jeff’s meal came with chocolate sorbet! Needless to say we had leftovers, which were just as fabulous the next day!!
Epic Life’s Anniversary – so our team moved out here to Seattle, WA 2 years ago, but the dream began 4 years ago!! We have officially been publicized and in the theater for 1 year : ). We celebrated with a Family Sunday ( a Sunday where there is no Children’s Ministry and everyone is in the big service). 120 people!!! The sermon was a recap of where God has taken us throughout the Bible and the Gospel and vision of Epic Life was shared. Then in the evening we had a worship/baptism/vision night!! We got to watch a video that some leader put together that recapped the past year and focused on the different ministries that have continued to develop. Hopefully that will be on our website (www.epiclifechurch.org).
