Kari,

I'm praying for you guys!! It is soooo awesome to see what God is doing through you. How exciting to be a part of that. And yes, sometimes those "best" things are scary. From what Mary Jo says, you have a different job now?

Hey there, Kari, Thanks for the blog re the children's ministry last Sunday. God is very good, isn't he? It was good to read Keith's comments in the newsletter also and to visualize more about what you folks are doing there.

I am surprised that you are worshiping in the theatre. I thought you all had acquired that church building for your services. Did you not get it after all?

We are happy that you have a job with a day to day schedule so that you know what you will be doing each day. Are you enjoying it? You paid your dues during the last year so I am glad this has happened for you.

Hope this finds Jeff healthy and happy. I am going to check out his blog after these comments.

We are going to Moorhead for this week-end if I can ever get my bags packed. I am pokey today.

We continue to pray for you both and for the work there that it will all be done to God's glory.

With much love, Grandma

Hello Kari Jo -

We are so glad that not only your prayers were answered for the children's ministry this past Sunday - but that the church service and the official kick off of Epic Life was a huge success and a blessing to all who were there. We pray that God will continue to bless the whole team and those who have been helping in anyway in their efforts to make Epic Life known in the community of Seattle.

Much Love - Mom

Hey Kari -
Thanks for sharing what you found in this post. I have been working part time in a hotel and homeless people come in and I have to kick them out. The first time someone came in, I let him stay and gave him cookies, water, etc. and ended up getting in trouble with the boss for that later. It is something I haven't dealt so heavily with before, and it has been a huge burden to me this week as well - finding ways to help that ARE not only meaningful, but allowed! Haven't found all the answers yet - but I WILL be praying for you as you pray for me :)

-Katherine (Kate)

P.S. I HATE when we come up with ideas (i.e. the lunch) as soon as the opportunity walks away! Grr!

Dear Kari, Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and experiences. They were a blessing to me as I read them. I will read the book of Amos soon in my daily readings and I am sure I will think of you at that time. In my reading of the OT this this year (I am just beginning Jeremiah this week) I have been so blessed and feel I have gotten to know the Lord God in a greater way and have been blessed as well as knowing a greater God now than before I began my readings in January.
He loves us (all of his children) and he blesses us but he also disciplines us when we need that kind of love also and thus he brings us back to himself anew. What a awesome and great Father God we have.

Trust your days with your mom and dad have been sweet and refreshing for you and Jeff as well as for them. We pray for their safe arrival back in MN tomorrow. They're coming back to some good temps and pleasant days which is always nice.

We're trying to get a time to visit more with Lindsay--maybe one day later this week. She was a bit sick to her stomach on Sunday. Perhaps her body is telling her to rest a bit right now.

God bless you both. It was neat to read the newsletter page from your pastor today also.

Love from us both. Grandma and Grandpa

Kari,

Your growth and revelation of God's plan in your life have been a miraculous tale to watch unfold. I love you dearly, and am continuously praying that He would lavish you with His blessings for your obedience, your faith, and your reverence through confession even in times of disobedience.

Know that God is speaking to you every day. He is speaking to me every day. We are a gift to one another, and He is so proud of you, Mrs. Campbell.

Dear Kari, I have just read your last two blogs, now in July, and I appreciated them. You do need God-given patience to live and get around in a huge city. We found that out in Sao Paulo, Brazil. We also experience it when we drive thru Mpls. at times. The last time was a couple weeks ago. It was a Saturday a.m. and beautiful weather so we thot all would go well going thru headed for Alexandria, MN, to Mt. Carmel Bible Camp. Not to be--traffic was held up mainly because of road repair which closed all but ONE land for quite a ways. We ended up getting off the freeway for a VERY necessary potty break! We were thankful for the Vet Clinic that has a b/room!!
Sorry you didn't hardly get to see your friends that day.

People are alike all around the world! Just as you find folks in Seattle who pretend to be homeless, we found the same in Mexico where a truck from a farm would bring mothers w/tiny babies and leave them on street corners to beg for the day. They knew (or hoped) that tourists would feel sorry for them and give more money to them. The heart without God is sinful beyond what we can even imagine.

It was good to hear that you feel you are growing in Christ thru the daily things in your life that, I feel sure, must be really trying and frustrating. (By the way, we haven't been praying for you to have patience!)

Grandpa had his eyes checked this a.m. and will soon have a cataract removed that has been hindering his eye sight. Otherwise we are both well and experiencing God's loving care in our lives.

I am so glad for you and Jeff that your folks will be coming to visit you soon. It will be good for them too and I'm glad your Dad can experience first-hand where you live, work and play!

We continue to pray for you and Jeff. We also miss you two and not having encounters at times espec. like on your birthday!

So we look forward to Lindsay coming in August and hearing and seeing photos of the work she is involved with there. We will miss not having you and Jeff as we gather together for that.

We commend you to God and into his loving provision and leading in your lives. With much love, Grandma (and Grandpa)

It is sooo hard to be taken out of our comfort zones! But, when we focus on Jesus, it is a beautiful thing. It is so cool to see how in later blogs you talk about being able to get around easily...one way in which you have been blessed!
